The Qatar Economic Forum is set to return to Doha from May 12 to 14, 2026, marking the sixth edition of the influential global economic gathering. The annual event will once again bring together heads of state, global CEOs, policymakers and investors to explore transformational trends shaping the world economy.
Organised in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the 2026 forum will be held under the theme “The Global Rebalance: Capital, Power and the Middle East,” reflecting the region’s expanding influence in global markets driven by sovereign wealth, strategic energy assets and a surge in AI-led dealmaking.
Curated editorially by Bloomberg News, the forum is known for its news-driven programme and in-depth discussions on pressing economic issues. Over three days, participants will engage in plenary sessions, networking events and breakout discussions focused on geopolitics, trade, business outlooks, energy security, and technological innovation.
The Qatar Economic Forum has become a key platform for meaningful exchange between global decision-makers and regional leaders, facilitating dialogue that influences investment, policy and economic strategy. Last year’s edition attracted thousands of delegates from around the world, emphasising Doha’s growing role as a hub for global economic discourse.
Organisers say more details on speakers and session topics will be announced as the event approaches, with expectations that the 2026 forum will continue to shape insights into how capital, power and geopolitical shifts are redefining opportunity and risk worldwide.
