Four-Storey Residential Building in Bin Durham Collapses

A four-storey structure in Fareej Bin Durham area, a few meters behind the Lulu Express on B-Ring Road in Doha, collapsed today morning, March 22nd.

The area has been blocked off by Qatar's civil defence, with ambulances and police officials pushed to the scene to control the situation.

The incident resulted in the killing of 1 person who was inside the building, while seven other people were rescued.

"Efforts are underway to ensure that no one is trapped inside the building," the Ministry of Interior said in a tweet. 

Part of the building collapsed on the neighboring building.

A resident in the area told The Peninsula that the building collapsed around 8:18 am.
