Street in Al Wakra Renamed After Martyr Badr Saad Mohammed Al Humaidi Al Dosari

On 18 September 2025, Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality issued Ministerial Decision No. (181) of 2025, officially renaming Street No. 90 in Al Wakra to “Martyr Badr Saad Mohammed Al-Humaidi Al-Dosari Street.”

The street is located directly opposite the home of the late martyr’s father, marking a symbolic gesture of recognition and respect for his family.

The decision mandates that the Survey Department register the new name in the Ministry of Municipality’s database to ensure all official maps, signs, and documents reflect the change.

This administrative step is crucial for consistency in public records and for citizens’ daily navigation.

Warrant Corporal Badr Saad Mohammed Al-Humaidi Al-Dosari served with Qatar’s Internal Security Force (commonly known as Lekhwiya). He tragically lost his life while carrying out official duties during the Israeli attack on a residential building in Doha on 9 September 2025.

The renaming aims to preserve his memory and honour his sacrifice.

This tribute reinforces Qatar’s tradition of commemorating those who give their lives in service to the nation. The act of renaming a public street not only recognises individual bravery, but also helps embed such legacy in the fabric of communities—ensuring future generations remember the costs of peace and security.
