Former England football star and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ambassador David Beckham met with a number of members of the Qatar Fan Leaders Network, which was launched last year by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

During the meeting, members of the Qatar Fan Leaders Network reviewed their role in enhancing the public's enthusiasm about the upcoming World Cup and ensuring that the tournament's fans will have an exceptional and unique experience during the competitions of the first edition of the World Cup in the Middle East.

Beckham, who previously played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, and PSG said that the 2022 World Cup, which Qatar will host from November 20 to December 18, will be an exceptional version of the tournament, as a result of the great efforts made by the State of Qatar in organizing an amazing version at all levels.

Beckham praised the eight stadiums that will host the World Cup matches and expressed his admiration for the close distances between them.

The meeting with Beckham was attended by the cheerleaders: Othman Al Ishaq from Qatar, Hussam Al-Ala from Egypt, Othman Abbasi from Algeria, Ludmila Cruz from Brazil, Aaron Fernandez from India and Wiznia Navarro from Mexico.

For her part, Haya Al-Kuwari, Fan Interaction Manager at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, said: “Fan leaders play an important role in communicating with football fans from all over the world to attend the World Cup, and provide us with their opinions, suggestions, and inquiries on all aspects of the tournament and the hosting country"

She added: "The fans' enthusiasm for the Qatar 2022 World Cup is an inspiration to us, and their opinions will play a key role in preparing to host the tournament in November and December.

There is no doubt that the audience is the most important element for the success of the football festival, which is being hosted by the Arab world and the Middle East for the first time.

The Qatar Fan Leaders Network helps the tournament’s fans to always be at the center of the action, whether they are in Qatar or anywhere else in the world.”

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy launched the Qatar Fan Leaders Network earlier last year, which includes a group of individuals who are passionate about football from around the world, who share with the fans in their countries basic information about Qatar and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with the aim of enhancing the enthusiasm of the football fans about the World Cup and to ensure that everyone has an exceptional experience during the first edition of the tournament in the Arab world and the Middle East.

The Supreme Committee cooperates with fan leaders to interact with the public, meet their requirements, and create appropriate content about the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

They also participate in monthly panel discussions and surveys to assist the ongoing efforts in Qatar to provide an exceptional experience for fans during the World Cup.
