This announcement coincides with World Intellectual Property Day, which is celebrated annually on the 26th of April.

beIN joining the alliance reflects the group's ongoing endeavor to address the growing threat posed by large-scale piracy to live broadcasters. According to a recent study by Synamedia/Ampere, tackling global sports piracy could amount to an additional $28 billion in annual revenue for the industry.

beIN has become the 38th and first sports content provider to join the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE). The Alliance's comprehensive approach to reducing piracy includes criminal referrals, litigation, direct communication, and other strategic tactics that put the Alliance and its partners in a swift move to reduce piracy of live sports content on a global scale.
