Qatar is expected to see rain of varying intensity from today, March 26th, until the middle of the week, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).

"It is expected that the amounts of clouds will increase in the country from Sunday with chances for rain of varying intensity until the middle of the week and it maybe thundery at places at times," it said in a tweet.

The QMD later observed thundery rain in the western areas of the country inshore and offshore.

The wind will mostly blow in the southeasterly to the northeasterly direction and is expected to be light to moderate in speed with thunder rain.
The department has appealed to everyone to heed caution and follow all safety instructions during thundery rain.
