Rare Lunar Eclipse Goes Live Over Doha — Free Viewing at MIA Park

This Sunday night, the skies over Doha are putting on a show — a total lunar eclipse, and the best part? You can catch it for free at MIA Park.

Qatar Museums and Qatar Calendar House are teaming up to set the stage with telescopes, observation gear, and even a massive tent so you can enjoy the eclipse in comfort.

When to Look Up

The cosmic action kicks off at 7:27 pm with the partial phase. By 8:31 pm, the moon will be completely covered, hitting its dramatic peak at 9:12 pm. The total eclipse wraps up at 9:53 pm, and the whole event ends by 10:56 pm. That’s almost three and a half hours of sky-watching magic.

Free for Everyone

No tickets, no fees — just bring yourself, your friends, and maybe a blanket for the grass. MIA Park will be the prime spot in the city, but the eclipse will also be visible across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia.
