Qatar's Flagship Cafe Tea Time to Open its First Branch in the UK

Qatar's beloved cafe chain Tea Time will open its first branch in Leicester, UK, according to reports on Thursday. 

Leicester's Esteem Property Developers are renovating a Granby Street unit for the opening of the Qatari cafe in July 2023. 

The Qatari cafe chain chose Leicester as the location for its UK branch because the city has a diverse population and it is home to various popular foodie destinations. 

Tea Time first opened in Doha in 2002 and since then the cafe chain has opened in more than 100 locations across Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE. 

Tea Time will be the third cafe to open in the UK market after the Qatari eatery Burgeri and cafe Chapati & Karak. Burgeri opened in London in 2016, while Chapati & Karak opened in London in 2014.
