Qatar Announces Eid Al Fitr Working Hours for Government Healthcare Services

Qatar has announced the working hours for government healthcare services during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday.

In a statement released on March 16, the Ministry of Public Health confirmed the schedule for key health facilities and departments to ensure services remain available throughout the festive period.

Selected PHCC health centers to stay open

Out of the 31 health centers operated by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), 21 will remain open during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

These centers will continue serving patients to help ease demand while many offices operate on holiday schedules.

Emergency services operating 24/7

Emergency and inpatient services at hospitals run by the Hamad Medical Corporation will operate around the clock throughout the week.

Paediatric emergency centers at these hospitals will also remain open 24/7.

Meanwhile, PHCC emergency care services will be available in 14 health centers, including eight facilities dedicated to urgent care for children.

Blood donation centre schedule

The Qatar National Blood Donation Center will operate on a modified schedule.

During Ramadan, the center will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and again from 6 pm to 12 am, except on the first day of Eid and the upcoming Friday.

From Saturday to Monday, the center will operate from 9 am to 9 pm.

Administrative and registration services

Some administrative services will operate with limited hours during the Eid break.

The Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad Department will be open from 9 am to 12 pm throughout the holiday, except on the first day of Eid and on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Death Registration Unit at the Unified Humanitarian Service will operate daily from 8 am to 12 pm during the Eid holiday.

The Newborn Registration Office at the Women’s Health and Research Center will also run from 8 am to 12 pm, except on the first day of Eid and on Fridays and Saturdays.

Healthcare contact centre remains available

Residents can still reach the Unified Healthcare Contact Centre by dialing 16000, which will remain available 24 hours a day throughout the week.

Authorities said the arrangements are in place to ensure residents can still access essential healthcare services during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
