Here's Your Total Eid al-Adha Guide: Doha Edition

The "Feast of Sacrifice," also known as Eid al-Adha or Bakr-id, is the most significant holiday in the Muslim calendar.  The term "Grand Eid" (Al Eid Al Kabeer) may also be used to refer to the celebration.

This holiday honors Prophet Ibraham's willingness to give up all for God and is observed across the Muslim world.

There hasn't been an update from the Qatar Calendar House (QHC) about Eid Adha as of yet. But it's anticipated that Eid Adha 2023 would take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. This year, Eid al Adha will most likely be observed as a public holiday from June 28 to June 30.

For those celebrating Eid-Al Adha in Qatar, here's a list of places one can visit during the long break in the month of June.

In contrast to Doha's striking contemporary architecture, the Souq Waqif, which was constructed on the site of the city's century-old commercial bazaar on the banks of the Wadi Musheireb is totally a different and old construction. Spices, handicrafts, traditional clothing, and souvenirs are all available in the souq.
