Employers Told to Prioritize Worker Safety
Companies are urged to provide workers with the necessary protection, especially those working outdoors or exposed to the heat. This includes offering rest breaks, hydration, and ensuring the work environment meets safety standards set by the Ministry.
The advisory serves as a reminder to employers to strictly follow labour safety laws, especially during exceptional weather conditions.
Extreme Heat Raises Health Concerns
The warning comes as Qatar continues to face unusually high temperatures. Such conditions can put workers at risk of heat stress, dehydration, and other health issues if proper safety measures are not in place.
