The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) confirmed that radiation levels in Qatar’s air and coastal waters are well within safe and normal limits.

In a statement released on June 15, the ministry emphasized that radiation levels are being monitored 24/7 through advanced land and sea networks across the country. The latest data shows no unusual activity or cause for concern.

Round-the-clock surveillance now in place

To ensure fast detection and response, MECC recently launched a new national radiation monitoring system. The upgraded network is active around the clock and covers all regions in Qatar.

The goal is to instantly catch any spikes beyond the norm and maintain the highest safety standards for radiation and nuclear-related risks—both locally and globally.

Officials reassured the public that Qatar continues to prioritize environmental safety and that all current readings point to a stable situation.
