Qatar has confirmed that its embassy building in Kyiv was damaged during overnight shelling of the Ukrainian capital, while reassuring that no diplomats or staff members were injured.
Embassy Staff Confirmed Safe
In an official statement, Qatar said it deeply regrets the damage caused to its embassy but stressed that all personnel are safe. No injuries were reported among diplomatic or administrative staff working at the mission.

Call to Protect Diplomatic Missions
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of protecting embassies, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and civilian facilities, especially during times of conflict. The ministry said such sites and their staff must be safeguarded in line with international law.
Qatar Repeats Call for Peaceful Resolution
The ministry also reaffirmed Qatar’s stance on the Russia–Ukraine conflict, calling for the crisis to be resolved through dialogue and peaceful means. Qatar said it continues to support international efforts aimed at de-escalation, in line with the United Nations Charter.
