Qatar has issued a strong condemnation following attacks on the United Arab Emirates Embassy and the residence of its head of mission in Damascus.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the incidents as a violation of the inviolability of diplomatic missions, stressing that such actions breach international law.
In its statement, the ministry called for those responsible to be held accountable and urged measures to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future.
Qatar reiterated its full support for the UAE, emphasising the importance of protecting diplomatic missions and ensuring the safety of their personnel.
The ministry also highlighted that the protection of embassies and diplomatic staff is mandated under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, a cornerstone of international diplomatic law.
