The State of Qatar has extended remote working for staff across all government institutions to 2 March 2026. The move comes as authorities continue to manage safety and operational measures following recent regional developments.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed in a statement on 1 March 2026 that ministries, public authorities, and other government bodies will continue their work remotely.

Exemptions Apply

Employees in the military, security, and health sectors, as well as those whose roles require them to be physically present, are exempt from the remote work directive.

Authorities Urge Official Information

The Secretariat also reminded citizens and residents to rely only on official sources for updates and to follow all safety and security guidance issued by the competent authorities.
