Calling the move a "blatant violation of international law," Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that continued provocations at Islamic and Christian sacred places in occupied East Jerusalem risk fueling further unrest in the region.

In a statement issued Monday, the Ministry urged the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities when it comes to protecting Jerusalem’s religious sanctity and ensuring accountability for repeated violations.

The ministry also stressed that these actions are not just an attack on Palestinian rights, but “a provocation to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.”

Reaffirming its long-standing position, Qatar reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s “just cause” — including their right to worship freely and to establish an independent state along 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
