Qatar Airways has officially been named the World’s Best Airline for 2025, according to the latest Skytrax World Airline Awards held on June 17 at the Paris Air Show. This marks the ninth time the airline has taken the top global honor, cementing its reputation as a consistent industry leader.

The announcement was made during the ceremony at the Air and Space Museum, where top global airlines were ranked based on passenger satisfaction and service quality.
Best in business class and the Middle East
Alongside the main award, Qatar Airways also took home several other major titles. These include World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Lounge (for its Al Mourjan Garden Lounge), and Best Airline in the Middle East—the latter for the 13th time.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted highlighted Qatar Airways’ strong performance across multiple categories as the reason behind its top ranking, especially praising its premium cabin experience.
Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific follow
Singapore Airlines came in second place this year, followed by Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific in third. All rankings were based on passenger reviews and feedback collected globally over the past year.
The Skytrax awards are considered one of the most trusted and respected benchmarks in the aviation industry, often dubbed the “Oscars of the airline world.”
