According to the latest Cirium On-Time Performance Review, the national carrier achieved an 84.42 per cent on-time performance rate, securing a coveted Platinum Award and placing it among the top five most punctual airlines worldwide.

The annual Cirium review, now in its 17th year, evaluates airline punctuality based on comprehensive flight data sourced from more than 600 real-time feeds, including airline operators, airports and civil aviation authorities. A flight is considered on time if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival at the gate, a benchmark that Qatar Airways consistently met across its extensive global network.

The Platinum Award goes beyond simple percentage figures, factoring in operational complexity, network size and the ability to maintain schedule integrity throughout the year. Industry experts say this accolade reflects not only punctual arrivals but also robust planning, disruption management and execution across diverse operational conditions.
