Forbes Middle East has unveiled its Top 100 Travel & Tourism Leaders 2025 list, released on August 11, 2025, highlighting three influential figures from Qatar among the region’s top industry leaders.
Leading the Qatari contingent is Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Group CEO of Qatar Airways Group, who secured the #3 spot in the Airlines category. Recognized for his leadership in expanding Qatar Airways’ global network and enhancing passenger experience, Al Meer continues to be a key figure in shaping the region’s aviation landscape.
Ranked #25 is Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, honored in the Public Sector category for driving tourism initiatives and promoting Qatar as a global destination.
At #33, Tarek M. El Sayed, Managing Director & CEO of Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), represents the Hotels & Resorts sector, recognized for expanding ARTIC’s hospitality portfolio across prime international markets.
Topping the overall list is H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, based in the UAE.
The Forbes Middle East rankings celebrate leaders from airlines, airports, private aviation, hospitality, destinations, and the public sector. Selection criteria included business size, sector impact, economic influence, asset ownership, leadership achievements in 2024–2025, and track record in driving growth and innovation.
By showcasing Qatar’s strong representation in the list, the 2025 rankings reflect the country’s growing influence in global travel and tourism.
