Qatar Airways Launches Doha-Hail Flights
New direct route to Hail marks Qatar Airways’ 13th destination in Saudi Arabia and expands travel links across the Kingdom.
Qatar Airways has inaugurated three non-stop weekly flights between Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and Hail International Airport (HAS) in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant expansion of the airline’s regional network.
The new service, which began on January 5, 2026, makes Hail the 13th destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia served by Qatar Airways and underscores the carrier’s long-term commitment to enhancing connectivity between Qatar and its neighbor.
Flight Schedule
Qatar Airways will operate the Doha–Hail route every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, with the flights scheduled as follows:
- Flight QR1228 — Doha (DOH) to Hail (HAS)

• Arrival: 16:30

Flights will operate three times weekly, connecting the north-central region of Saudi Arabia with Doha and beyond, offering convenient options for both business and leisure travellers. Through Doha’s global hub, passengers can access more than 170 destinations worldwide on the airline’s award-winning network.
Qatar Airways’ expansion into Hail reinforces growing travel and economic ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, while also supporting broader regional connectivity. With this addition, the airline now operates over 150 weekly flights across 13 Saudi cities, a testament to its strategic focus on the Kingdom’s travel market.
Hail Province, known for its historical heritage, cultural sites and desert landscapes, is expected to attract increased air traffic and tourism interest due to the improved accessibility this new route provides.
The launch further strengthens Qatar Airways’ presence across the Gulf and bolsters travel links throughout the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia, offering passengers expanded options for regional and international travel.
