You Can Now Use Indian Rupees at Doha’s Airport

Good news for travelers planning a trip to Gulf countries, particularly Qatar, as they no longer need to worry about carrying dollars or exchanging currency at the airport.

Mika Singh, a well-known singer in India who is currently in Doha, tweeted that Indian rupees can now be used for all monetary transactions, including purchases.

The singer shared a video on social media from Doha airport, expressing his excitement that Indian rupees are now being accepted globally. He mentioned that being able to purchase products using Indian rupees made his day, and he thanked the Prime Minister for enabling this upgrade of Indian currency on the global stage.

According to reports, the singer apparently went shopping at a Louis Vuitton outlet in Qatar. Louis Vuitton is a renowned luxury brand that is popular for producing high-end handbags, women's accessories, and shoes. Although the brand has a limited presence in India and its products are mainly purchased by the wealthy class, it is a global leader in its industry.
