Jedari Art: Discover Qatar’s New Walls

"Jedari Art” event aims to make walls all over the city come alive with vitality, activity, and creativity, through murals and street art.

The goal of Jedari Art is to revitalize urban areas and artistic creativity by inviting artists to submit proposals in specific areas across the city, to become new points of reference for people to visit around the city.

Here are some of the participating artists:

-Mubarak Al Malek

"I am looking for the purity of origin and tradition without forgetting innovation and modernity."

-Huda Bashal

"My paintings and artwork represent the meeting point of abstraction and realism."

-Nora Al Mansouri

"I focus on the art of surrealism, using unusual or unexpected themes."

-Dimitrije Bugarski

Known as DeeDee, his work combines realism and abstraction through his focus on street art, as a way of using public art as an urban intersection.

-Nada Khuzestani

An artist who loves Qatari culture, and draws inspiration in her works from nature and colors in Qatar.

-Sharifa Al-Mannai and Mona Al-Badr

Sharifa's artwork is a surreal image that meets Collage in a whimsical fashion. Also known as the Blue Artist, Mona is an example of a woman who has used her talent to inspire women and people in general.

-Thamer Al Dosari

"I focus on the art of surrealism, using unusual or unexpected themes."

-Fatima Al-Sharshani

Fatima has given her written words greater strength through both traditional and modern forms of calligraphy.

-Maryam Al-Mahdadi

By focusing on Qatari traditions through storytelling, Mariam aims to enrich the narrative of traditions through art.

-Shua'a Al Kuwari

“Since I was young, I loved all the arts, especially reading, writing, and drawing, and what I like most is cubism paintings, as I find myself in it a lot.”

-Abdulaziz Yousef

Abdulaziz Yousef is a Qatari artist who explores new visual experiences using various media including caricature, animation, multimedia, traditional artwork on canvas, graphics and sculpture.

-Abdullah Al Emadi

A self-taught artist who draws inspiration from manuscript illustrations, myths from different cultures, as well as the Surrealist movement.

-Anoud Al-Ghamdi

"What I hope to accomplish with my art is to spread the message of authenticity, heritage, unity and peace through the use of Arabic calligraphy in a modern and artistic way."

-Maha Al Jaidah

Maha enjoys breaking barriers between and experimenting with many different subjects, in addition to her work in various fields.

-Aisha Al-Fadhala
From a young age, Aisha's fondness for animation and illustration continued to grow as she traveled the world, drawing inspiration from the various arts and styles she encountered.
