BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Anas (Andy) Abbar, CEO 7awi Media Group

Anas Abbar is the CEO and Co-Founder of 7awi Global, a leading digital platform focusing on developing Arabic content for the GCC/MENA markets. Educated in many countries notably Syria, UK, France, Canada and USA. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration from City University and Certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). 

Anas moved to Dubai in 2010 after working at Microsoft for 20 years in multiple capacities. He worked for Yahoo! for 2 years, leading the product team for emerging markets. His career highlights include being one of the key individuals responsible for enabling Microsoft products and services to support Arabic and a variety of other languages. Anas has 20 Microsoft patents and four US patents. Working for global companies builds his amazing empowerment and accountability skills with knowledge of the regional and local has been a key to his achievements. 

As the CEO and co-Founder of 7awi Media Group, his top priority is the health of the company and the incredible 7awi employees, which enables him to take pride in 7awi Media Group. His goal is to establish 7awi Media Group as one of the leading digital platforms in the GCC region. It is challenging, but it is what makes his goal special. Anas enjoys being challenged, and that is what motivates him every day. 

When Anas is not in his office, he is somewhere traveling the world, but rest assured, he is always connected. Traveling and exploring places is his passion and has touched down to over 70 countries. Aside from traveling, he loves snorkeling, and he is a coffee lover.
