Qatar's Ministry of Interior has announced that automated monitoring for not wearing a seat belt and using mobile phones while driving will be implemented from September 3rd.

The ministry also stressed the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations for everyone's safety and well-being.

"Drive safely," the ministry added.

The Qatar government has recently introduced a new set of traffic rules for drivers. They have also issued a fine law sheet related to the violation of Qatar traffic rules for 2023. 

The acceptable range for traffic violations in Qatar is QR 300 - QR 600, yet some violations may lead to a fine of up to QR 6,000. Violations are usually be limited to fines.
