Qatar has just upgraded its Hayya GCC Residents Visa, making it easier than ever for regional visitors to enjoy the country. Starting November 30, GCC residents can stay in Qatar for up to two months and move in and out freely with multiple-entry access. Perfect timing as the country gears up for the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup and a packed calendar of cultural and entertainment events.

Smooth Entry for a Busy Season

The updates are all about streamlining travel. Visitors can now breeze through airports and land borders, while Qatar strengthens its readiness for the expected surge of regional fans. Saeed Al Kuwari, Director of Hayya, explained that these changes reflect Qatar Tourism’s bigger plan: to make the country more welcoming, boost regional tourism, and support the economy during major events.

All About Hayya

The Hayya platform isn’t just a visa. It’s Qatar’s official digital gateway for travel and events. From visa processing and event access to transport and lifestyle info, Hayya brings it all together in one interface. Currently, it offers five visa types, including the GCC Resident Visa (A2), Tourist Visa (A1), and others. The new upgrades make it easier for GCC residents to explore Qatar’s cultural sites, natural attractions, and year-round events—all while attending sports or entertainment happenings.
