Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari, the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Local Committee overseeing the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, revealed that preparations are underway for the upcoming tournament, scheduled to be held in Qatar from January 12 to February 10, 2024.

He mentioned that the committee will unveil a strategy for ticket sales and distribution procedures, coinciding with the formal arrangement with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The date and method of ticket sales for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup will be announced soon. The plan will be similar to the one used for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and will take into account the commitments to the AFC and all partners, as well as coordination with the 24 participating teams and national federations.
The Hayya card is an electronic identification card that will be required for all fans attending the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. The card has special procedures and conditions, and is the easiest way for residents of Qatar and GCC states to enter the country. The details of how the Hayya card will be linked to tournament tickets will be announced at a later date.
On including Lusail Stadium to host the opening and final matches of the AFC Asian Cup, Al Kuwari said that Lusail Stadium, which has a capacity of 88,000 seats, has become a global icon after hosting the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the impressive success it achieved.
