Qatar Extends All Entry Visas for One Month
Interior Ministry offers automatic, fee-free visa extension amid ongoing regional developments.
The Ministry of Interior Qatar has announced the extension of all categories of entry visas that have either expired or are nearing expiration for an additional one month, starting February 28, 2026.
The decision is part of measures to maintain stability for visitors and residents amid evolving regional conditions.
According to the ministry’s statement, the visa extension will be processed automatically through approved electronic immigration systems. Eligible visa holders will not need to submit applications, visit government offices, or pay any extension fees.
However, the ministry clarified that entry visas with violations recorded before February 28, 2026, must first settle the required overstay fines. Once fines are paid, the one-month extension and fee exemption will be applied starting from the same reference date.
Officials said the policy may be subject to further extension depending on future developments.
The ministry also emphasized that it is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the legal and residency status of visitors and residents remains secure.
In its public advisory, the ministry urged everyone to stay indoors, avoid open or exposed areas, and follow official safety instructions, while keeping updated through the ministry’s verified communication channels.
