Doha Metro expands hours to power the Qatar Grand Prix — ensuring smooth transport for thousands of F1 fans.

The transport network in Doha is stepping up ahead of the FIA Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025: the Doha Metro — along with the Lusail Tram — will operate extended service hours over the race weekend to help fans reach and leave the Lusail International Circuit with ease.

According to the official announcement, the adjusted timetable will be as follows:

  • Friday, 28 November: 9:00 AM – 1:30 AM

  • Saturday, 29 November: 5:00 AM – 1:30 AM

  • Sunday, 30 November: 5:00 AM – 2:30 AM

These extended hours coincide with the three days of the Grand Prix, which include qualifying, the main race, and post-race concerts and festivities.

For race-goers, the metro and tram offer a convenient alternative to driving, helping avoid traffic jams and parking challenges around Lusail. Additionally, the official spectator guide notes that a free 3-day pass for metro and tram will be available for ticket holders, making public transit an even more attractive option.

Beyond convenience, the extended service also reflects the commitment of Qatari authorities to facilitate a smooth, accessible, and fan-friendly event, aligning with the high-stakes excitement and global appeal of the Grand Prix. With transport ready for early starts and late returns, fans can focus on the thrill of the race — not the commute.
