In the United States, most of the old industrial sites have been converted into beautiful outdoor recreational sites. Factories, mines and railways once operated off of these locations assisting in the forming of the economic development of the country. With time, industries were destroyed or moved out leaving gigantic industrial scenery behind. Some of these places have not been left to ruin forever; some of them have been replenished and made available to all in a form of hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and history exploring. The renewed spaces enable the visitor to enjoy nature besides finding out the industrial history of America.
