From Courtroom to Viral Fame

Caprio first became a household name through his show Caught in Providence, where he handled everyday cases with warmth, humor, and humanity. Clips of his courtroom went viral in the late 2010s, gaining him over 3 million Instagram followers and 1.6 million on TikTok. Fans loved how he turned even minor traffic violations into moments of compassion.

Beyond the Bench

Born in Providence in 1936, Caprio’s career stretched from teaching and serving in the National Guard to leading as Chief Judge of Providence’s Municipal Court from 1985 to 2023. Off the bench, he gave back through scholarships, charity work, and supporting local causes.
