If you’re spending in riyals, heads up! The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) just announced an update to the 1 Riyal banknote, as part of the country’s fifth series of banknotes. Don’t worry though—your old bills are still good to use.
What Changed?
The design refresh is pretty subtle but important for keeping things official and up-to-date:

The new State Emblem of Qatar is now featured.

Arabic numerals are used for the denomination.

The issue date has been updated.
For now, only the 1 Riyal note is getting this upgrade. Other Qatari bills will be updated later on, but the timeline hasn’t been announced yet.

The bill keeps its iconic green color and the same classic design with:
