The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy has clarified the various options for entering Qatar through the land port - Abu Samra, nine days before the start of the 2022 World Cup, as it posted an explanatory video about entering through the Abu Samra port with a link on how to travel to Qatar during the FIFA World Cup 2022™.

Here are the most prominent details, options, and conditions for entering Qatar through the Abu Samra border crossing, which connects directly with Salwa Road.

To enter the State of Qatar, you will need an approved Hayya card, and fulfill all passports and customs requirements such as possession of a passport valid until March 22, 2023.

The Hayya Card is your entry permit to the State of Qatar during the tournament.

You will need it, along with your match ticket, to enter the stadiums, It also allows you to use public transportation for free.

Entry options:

You can enter the State of Qatar through the land borders during the period from November 1 to December 23, through one of the following three options:

Option 1: Entering Qatar by bus

The bus will take you to the border station.

After completing the customs and passport procedures, you can choose one of the following options to continue your journey:

1. Take the free bus to Al Messila Metro Station in Doha.

This will allow you easy access to other transportation options to seamlessly continue your journey to the matches and your accommodation.

2. If someone is waiting for you, you can take the free bus to Al Qalayel area to meet with family and friends, which is located about 2 km from the Abu Samra land border crossing.

Option 2: Entering Qatar with your own vehicle according to the terms and conditions

You can cross the border with your own vehicle, after fulfilling the following conditions:

The number of people inside the vehicle must not be less than three, and not exceed six, including the driver and passengers

- Reservation of accommodation in Qatar for at least five nights through the Qatar Accommodation Agency

Once all conditions are met, you will be able to:

1. Apply for a vehicle entry permit through the Hayya to Qatar 2022 app

2. After your application is approved, you will receive an email with a link where you can apply for insurance for your vehicle

3. To confirm your visit, you must pay the entry permit fee for your vehicle.

The fee must be paid within 24 hours of completing your vehicle insurance.

Please note:

The vehicle entry permit can only be used once

- There is no expiration date for the entry permit and there is no specific date for entry, and it is not related to the dates of booking the accommodation

Reminder: During the tournament, cars will not be allowed into restricted areas, particularly around stadiums and in central Doha.
