Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) has announced the Qatar Diamond Exchange (QDE), a fully integrated platform for trading rough and polished diamonds and precious stones in the Ras Bufontas Free Zone. The new exchange brings trading, membership, vaulting, certification, and industry services together in one regulated place. It gives Qatar a new gateway for global diamond trade and supports economic diversification under Qatar National Vision 2030.

QDE works as one secure and regulated platform. It includes a trading floor, private meeting rooms, an institutional-grade vault with biometric access, 24/7 security and surveillance, and on-site customs and certification services. This setup gives members a smooth and safe environment to do business. QFZ CEO and QDE Chairman, HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani, said: “The Qatar Diamond Exchange is an important step in Qatar’s efforts to diversify its economy and strengthen its position as a trusted player in global diamond trade. Since Qatar joined the Kimberley Process in 2021, we have built the regulatory and institutional base needed to support this new strategic sector for the country.”
