Qatar residents can raise a dispute for incorrect traffic violations directly through the Metrash2 app or in person at the Traffic Department in Madinat Khalifa. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you clear your name.

Raise a Dispute Using the Metrash App

If you’ve been wrongly fined, your first move is to file an objection through Metrash. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to the Metrash app

  2. Head to the “Traffic” section

  3. Tap “Vehicles”, and enter your car plate number

  4. Choose “Service Type” as “Violations”

  5. Click on the listed violation — a photo of the vehicle will appear

  6. Scroll to the “Details of Violation” section

  7. Choose “Objection” (instead of “Pay”)

  8. Write why you believe the fine is incorrect — for example, the photo shows a different car plate

Once submitted, you’ll receive an SMS confirming your objection. After that, the Traffic Police will review your claim and send another message with the result — either validating or canceling the fine.

You Can Also Handle It at the Traffic Department

If you prefer to go in person or if the app didn’t resolve the issue, head to the Traffic Department in Madinat Khalifa.

Here’s how it works:

  1. At reception, explain you’re disputing a wrong traffic fine

  2. You’ll be given a token number and directed to a specific counter

  3. At the counter, give your car plate number and QID

  4. If your case is clear-cut, the officer can remove the violation from your record right away
