Prominent Qatar-based Indian community leader CV Mohammed Ali has died at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife and four children — Nihad, Jaseena, Nabeel, and Najla — as well as many relatives, friends, and community members who knew him over the years.

Mohammed Ali came to Qatar on April 4, 1976, and spent 50 years in the country. He had a long career, working with Qatar National Bank (QNB) for 31 years before starting Civium Group, where he served as Managing Director.
He was also well known as a social worker and active community leader. He was a Founder Member and Vice-Chairman of the Kerala Cultural Centre, and played an important role in supporting the social and cultural activities of the Indian expatriate community in Qatar.
He also supported education in Kerala, India, by founding and helping several educational institutions. His work reflected his strong belief in giving back to society and helping others.
