7th Edition of Mahaseel Festival to Kick Off in Qatar on Thursday

The seventh edition of the Mahsaeel festival, which means 'harvest' in Arabic, will begin in Qatar at the southern area of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation on Thursday, January 19.

The Mahaseel festival, which is organized by Mahaseel for Marketing and Agricultural Services company, is an annual event held in Qatar with the goal of promoting the local industry.

The event will continue until January 28, and will be held between 9am and 9pm, offering high-quality agricultural crops and food products.

At any given moment, visitors can explore dozens of stalls and sample a wide range of items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, many types of plants, and bright flowers, as well as honey, dates, and dairy products.

Every year, local farmers and food producers make use of this opportunity to gain tourists' trust by displaying their products or by demonstrating their abundance and conformance to quality requirements.

"Mahaseel received around 50,000 supplies over the past three years, and received approximately 5.5 million kgs of local produce per month, during peak times. The company receives vegetables of different grades, following the technical specifications approved by the Ministry of Municipality, and published on the company's website," Mahaseel said in a statement.

In 2022, the sixth edition of the festival featured 39 companies, including 25 local farms, seven poultry, meat, and dairy producers, and seven nurseries.
