Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince, and Prime Minister left the Kingdom yesterday, heading to Egypt to participate in the second edition of the " Middle East Green Initiative Summit" under a joint Saudi-Egyptian presidency.

This came at the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, according to what the Royal Court said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that the second edition of the " Middle East Green Initiative Summit" was launched yesterday in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, co-chaired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in conjunction with the convening of the World Leaders Summit at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change "COP27" amidst the wide participation of the world's top leaders

It is noteworthy that Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted the first edition of the Middle East Green Initiative Summit in Riyadh in October 2021. The Summit enabled the first-ever regional dialogue on climate, where participating leaders from more than 20 countries agreed on the need to cooperate and unify efforts to confront climate change.
