Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo Places Third Runner-Up at Miss Universe 2025

The Philippines is back in the Miss Universe spotlight as Ahtisa Manalo ended her Miss Universe 2025 campaign as Third Runner-Up. The coronation night took place at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, where she competed against more than a hundred candidates from around the world.

Mexico’s Fátima Bosch ultimately took home the Miss Universe 2025 crown.

This year’s result marks the first Top 5 placement for the Philippines since Beatrice Luigi Gomez reached the same milestone in 2021.

Standout Performances in Swimsuit and Evening Gown

Ahtisa delivered strong stage moments during the competition. She wore a sleek white two-piece for the swimsuit round, earning loud support from the audience. For the evening gown segment, she chose a silver number that highlighted her refined and modern style.

Her national costume and preliminary looks also trended earlier in the week, featuring a vibrant fiesta-themed ensemble and a Philippine pearl-inspired gown.

A Confident Answer in the Q&A Round

During the question-and-answer portion, the Top 5 candidates were asked how they would use the Miss Universe title to empower young girls.

Ahtisa highlighted her advocacy work with Alon Akademie, an organization focused on providing opportunities for young people from low-income communities.

“I want to continue working with Alon Akademie through a platform like Miss Universe,” she said. “Your circumstances do not define your future, and every young person deserves equal opportunity.”

What’s Next for Ahtisa?

While the crown went to Mexico, Ahtisa’s strong finish brought pride to Filipino pageant fans and continued the country’s tradition of competitive placements on the world stage. Her advocacy work and public presence are expected to continue beyond the pageant as she returns home with a new international platform.
