FIFA Arab Cup 2025 Activities at Lusail Boulevard Cancelled Due to Rainy Weather

Organisers of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 have announced that all fan zone events and activities scheduled at Lusail Boulevard were cancelled on Thursday, December 18, 2025, due to heavy rain and adverse weather conditions affecting parts of the country, including the capital. 

The decision, shared by Lusail City on social media, comes as several areas of Qatar experienced persistent rainfall accompanied by thunder, prompting safety concerns for visitors and participants at the popular fan hub. The cancellation means planned entertainment, gatherings, and fan-driven events around the Boulevard — a key destination during the tournament — will not take place as originally scheduled. 

According to the Qatar Meteorological Department, the unstable weather is expected to continue at times, with strong winds and possible hail in certain regions, reinforcing the rationale behind the cancellations. Authorities have urged residents and fans to exercise caution and stay updated through official weather advisories as conditions evolve. 

The FIFA Arab Cup itself continues, with matches scheduled to proceed at stadium venues, including the highly anticipated final at Lusail Stadium.
