Qatar is flexing its digital muscles again—this time with record-breaking mobile internet speeds.

According to the June 2025 update from Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index, Qatar ranked second in the world for fastest mobile internet, clocking a median download speed of 517.44 Mbps. That’s not all: it also delivered upload speeds of 32.95 Mbps and a snappy 18 milliseconds latency.

Only one country outpaced Qatar—the United Arab Emirates, topping the global chart with a lightning-fast 546.14 Mbps median download speed. Coming in third was Kuwait, with 378.45 Mbps, and Bahrain followed closely behind with 236.77 Mbps.
