Qatar's Ministry of Labour has launched a digital service that will allow employers to modify occupation on behalf of their employees under a general permit.

This step has been taken to simplify the process of changing job titles in Qatar.
The process involves submitting a request for a job title change on the permit at an e-portal. This saves employers and employees time because they do not have to visit the ministry's offices to make such changes.
The e-portal will also allow a direct progression to the attestation system for contracts between employers and employees and the digital portal will also export the information about the job change to the Ministry of Interior.
The employment contract can be downloaded directly from the e-portal.
Streamlining the process for job modification on the general work permit will save various employees from the hassle of visiting offices and completing physical paperwork.
