China's Chang'e-6 mission is the very first physical sample return mission from the far side of the Moon of which humanity has seen. These lunar rocks and soils have wowed the world's scientific community from where they were gathered from the ancient South Pole-Aitken Basin. The early laboratory studies show that the composition and geological history are very different from similar specimens which have been collected by previous missions, like the Apollo or the Luna missions.
