Hamad International Airport (HIA) has been nominated for the Skytrax Award for Best Airport in the World 2022 for the second time. Last year, it was given the champion title.

A Message of Peace to the World by Ahmed Al Bahrani
The logo of ROTA (Reach Out to Asia), a Qatari non-profit organization that supports education in Asia, is A Message of Peace to the World, by Iraqi artist Ahmed Al Bahrani. It can be located at the South Node station of the Passenger Train.
Arctic Nurseries of El Dorado by Marc Quinn
This art project can be found at the airport's check-in hall. A collection of bronze sculptures representing hybrid plants and vegetation are used to create this entirely white composition.
COSMOS by Jean-Michel Othoneil
Jean-Michel Othoneil, a French artist, created COSMOS. It illustrates a network of interconnected spheres that represent various travelers from around the world. At first sight, this artwork will catch your eye. It is close to Concourses D and F for Departures.
Desert Horse by Ali Hassan
Ali Hassan, a Qatari artist, made this sculpture. This is a calligraphy representation of an Arabian horse. This artwork may be found outside Gate 3's Arrivals Meet and Greet Hall.
Falcon by Tom Claassen
This is a relatively new addition to the various artworks at HIA since it is an art installation by the Dutch artist. The Falcon is a sculpture that stands on the ledge of the airport's departure door.
Mappemondes by Adel Abdessemed
Mappemondes, a work by Algerian artist Adel Abdessemed, is fashioned out of tin cans discovered in Dakar marketplaces and depicts a global map. It's located on Departures Concourse A and portrays the effects of today's throwaway culture.
Oryx by Tom Claassen
Oryx, another art piece by Dutch artist Tom Claassen, is located in the arrivals hall. It is a set of sculptures depicting the Oryx, a native mammal of the Arabian Gulf and Qatar's national animal.
Untitled by Rudolf Stingel
Rudolf Stingel, an Italian artist, created this art piece. The artist used reflective aluminum panels to cover three surfaces and encouraged members of the HIA construction team to doodle on the soft walls throughout the airport's development. "After that, the walls were cast in copper and gold electroplated before a selection of pieces were chosen for permanent display at HIA." This is located in the Arrivals Meet and Greet Hall.
Lamp Bear by Urs Fischer
This is perhaps the most well-known work of art at HIA. This yellow bear by Swiss artist Urs Fischer greets passengers leaving the airport, and many people take photographs with it. It is located in the center of the airport, immediately following immigration and security.
