US President Donald Trump dropped a 20-point proposal to put an end to the Gaza conflict. The pitch: stop the fighting, free the hostages, rebuild Gaza, and bring in global oversight to keep the peace.
He promised the war would end immediately if Israel and Hamas both agree. Israel would pull back its forces once hostages are released, while Hamas members who give up arms could get amnesty or safe passage abroad.
Who Runs Gaza Under This Deal
The plan introduces a transitional technocratic Palestinian committee backed by international experts. Overseeing it would be a new “Board of Peace,” chaired by Trump himself and joined by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. Their job? Handle governance and make sure international funds actually reach Gaza’s rebuilding efforts.
Security and Stability
Security wouldn’t be left hanging. An International Stabilization Force (ISF), made up of the US, Egypt, Jordan, and Arab partners, would step in to train Palestinian police, secure borders, and gradually take over as Israel withdraws.
Trump’s proposal rules out annexation or long-term Israeli occupation, saying Israel’s role would shrink to a minimal security perimeter until things stabilize.
Beyond the War
The deal isn’t just about stopping rockets. It also sketches out economic perks like a special trade zone, big international investments, and job creation to rebuild Gaza. Trump even threw in interfaith dialogue and US-backed talks on Palestinian statehood down the line.
