In a new achievement for the Qatar Scientific Club, the club's teams obtained a number of advanced positions in the thirteenth Arab Robot Championship, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from 1 to 4 July.

The “Ball Collector” team won first place in its category, the “Sumo Competitions” team won third place, the “Line Tracing Competitions” team won the Best Performance Cup in third place, and the “FLL” team won third place with The Best Performance Cup, amid intense competition between the participating Arab teams from 17 countries, which included about 200 teams from various competitions, And the Qatari delegation was crowned with the shield of the best participating delegations

The Qatar Scientific Club participated in the thirteenth Arab Robot Championship, with four teams consisting of sixteen participants, which are the ball collector team from Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys, the line tracing team from Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib Preparatory School for Boys, the sumo team from Qatar Technical Secondary School for Boys, and the Qatar Technical Secondary School for Boys team. The FLL from Ahmed Bin Hanbal Secondary School for Boys, the team that won first place in the Schools Robot Championship, which was held last May with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Ms. Fatima Al-Mohannadi, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Qatar Scientific Club and head of the Qatari delegation, said: "The participating robot knights from the delegation of the State of Qatar were good ambassadors in this tournament in terms of efficiency and technical level, their commitment to directives, and their deliberate drive to obtain the best results."

She added, "We congratulate them for the achievements they have made, to be added to the Qatari record of achievements in this field."

She explained that these results come as a result of fruitful cooperation between the Qatar Scientific Club of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the interest of the students, who are the promising future generation, expressing her appreciation for the sponsorship of the Seashore Group, and also for the Fund for Supporting Social and Sports Activities to sponsor the Schools Championship For the robot, where the winning teams qualified to participate in the Arab Championship, stressing that this support represents the social responsibility to support the youth sector, which contributes to developing the capabilities of young people to achieve their ambitions and aspirations in the fields of innovation and various sciences.

The Arab Open Robot Championship is considered the strongest tournament that has been held in the Arab world in the field of robotics since 2008, in which student teams from the age of 6 years until the end of the university stage participate.

It is a forum for the distinguished minds of the finest youth in the Arab world, and the championship is supervised by the Arab Society for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

The tournament aims to achieve a set of objectives, including developing the skills of participants in engineering sciences, electronics, programming, and artificial intelligence, developing the creativity of participants in the field of robotics, and highlighting the energies and capabilities of those interested in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics through the challenges of the participating teams.
