A new system for determining the equivalent of university degrees has been introduced by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar with the objective of improving and streamlining the whole process. Both Qatari students studying abroad and international students looking to study or work in Qatar benefit from this new system.

Students holding foreign degrees will be eligible to make use of the new system to easily obtain an equivalent Qatari degree. Students will be expected to submit their degree certificates, transcripts, and other supporting papers to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for review.

If the foreign degree has been found to be equal to a Qatari degree, the ministry will review the supporting documentation and issue the student an equivalency certificate. While international students looking to study or work in Qatar will have a greater understanding of the prerequisites for obtaining the appropriate certifications, Qatari students studying abroad will be able to receive the necessary equivalence certificates more easily.

The new system is now accessible through the public service portal on the Ministry of Education and Higher Education website, making it easier for everyone to communicate and address any problems that may arise.

The new method is anticipated to increase the quality of higher education in Qatar by guaranteeing that only qualified individuals are accepted to higher education institutions and simplifying the equivalency process.
