Qatar Provides Extended Break for Academic Institutions
Ministry of Education and Higher Education implements precautionary measure amid regional developments to ensure safety of educational community.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar has announced an extended weekend holiday for all educational institutions across the country, effective immediately.
In light of current regional developments and in coordination with relevant state authorities, the ministry confirmed that the holiday will apply to all levels, including government schools, private educational institutions, and nurseries, and will remain in effect until the end of the current week.
This adjustment replaces the previously scheduled holiday dates of 22 and 23 April, as officials implement a precautionary approach aimed at safeguarding the safety of students, faculty, and all members of the educational community.
"The Ministry expresses its appreciation for the cooperation of parents and students," the statement read. "It also commends the efforts and dedication of administrative and academic staff in fulfilling their educational mission during this period."
