Qatar Forecasts Moderate to Heavy Rain for March 26-27

The Qatar Meteorology Department issued a weather forecast on 25 March 2026 warning residents of unstable weather conditions expected across the country due to a deepening surface low-pressure system.

The forecast predicts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday, 26 and 27 March 2026. Rainfall intensity is expected to range from moderate to heavy during this period, marking one of the more significant weather events anticipated for late March.

Authorities have advised the public to exercise caution due to several associated hazards. Strong downdrafts may occur during thunderstorm activity, and horizontal visibility could be significantly reduced, particularly in open areas. There is also a chance of hail accompanying the heavier rainfall periods.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and stay updated with the latest meteorological advisories. Motorists should be prepared for wet road conditions and reduced visibility, while outdoor activities may need to be postponed or relocated indoors until the weather stabilizes.

The Qatar Meteorology Department continues to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates as conditions develop throughout the weekend.
