Although fishing is legal everywhere in Qatar, several areas have unique rules that you should be aware of before casting your line.

Some of the best fishing spots are Al Aaliya Island, Al Safliya Island, Doha Navigation Channel and Halat Umm al Khayfan.

Kayaking

Spending a nice, sunny weekend kayaking around Qatar's unique coastline is one of the best ways to pass the time.

With its calm waters and views of wildlife, Al Thakhira Mangroves is one of the best locations for exploring Qatar’s biodiversity through Kayaking.

If you have a kayak of your own, you can explore the waters on your own or you can go on a trip with Aqua Sports Qatar.

Sailing

Sailing is one of the best methods to view the nation because of its extensive coastline.

The sailing clubs in Qatar provide instruction on a variety of vessels, including dragon boats and traditional dhows.

Scuba diving

Qatar is a sanctuary for scuba divers thanks to its immaculate beaches, tranquil waters, and distinctive marine life.

Underwater in Qatar, there is more than just sand to be seen. There are also natural reefs, corals, prehistoric fossils, turtles, groupers, angel fish, and, if you're really lucky, dugongs, whale sharks, and hammerheads.

Snorkelling

The clear waters of Qatar make snorkelling a fun experience.

A mask and a snorkel are all that are required for you to have a good time underwater.

Although much of the bottom near the beach is made up of sand, there is always some aquatic life to observe.

Banana boat riding

A banana boat, of course, and Banana Island is the only place to sail one.

A banana boat ride is just as exciting as riding a speed boat, and it's ideal for groups that don't mind getting tossed off the boat when it slams into waves quickly.

Parasailing

Give parasailing a go at the popular Katara Beach. As you soar above the ethereal seas while being strapped to a parachute, you will feel as light as a bird.

Stand-up paddleboarding

Stand-up paddleboarding is one of the more recent watersports in Doha that is growing in popularity. It is a fun way to play in the water with the added benefit of a complete body workout.

Standing up on the board requires some considerable balance and core strength.
