Qatari equestrians are making serious waves on the international stage! At the latest leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Monaco, Mohammed Khalifa Al Baker delivered a stellar performance to claim second place in the 145cm Grand Prix class, riding Hannah Zoe to a time of 37.67 seconds.

Al Baker was narrowly edged out by Russia’s Kristina Klebanova, who took top honors riding Diamanda 4 with a blazing time of 36.19 seconds. South Africa’s Nicolo van der Westhuizen, riding Stawita Ps, placed third at 38.99 seconds.

The podium finishes came with prize money, too:

  • 🥇 Klebanova – €6,250
  • 🥈 Al Baker – €5,000
  • 🥉 Van der Westhuizen – €3,750

More Qatari Wins in the 140cm International Class

It wasn’t just Al Baker making headlines. A day earlier, Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani snagged second place in the 140cm International Class, riding Marco Monet. Meanwhile, Ghanim Al Qadi also made Qatar proud, landing third place on Casal des Forets.

These results add to Qatar’s growing reputation in the world of international show jumping, proving that the country’s riders are a force to be reckoned with on the equestrian world stage.
